Joe Baer is currently the North Regional Vice President for AVI Systems and responsible for 9 offices. AVI Systems, a 100% employee-owned company, has 19 offices around the country and specializes in systems integration of AV products. Joe has had the privilege of being an employee owner at AVI Systems since 1990, AVI has 650 employees throughout their 19 offices.
Joe hasn’t served in the military; however, he has always had the utmost respect for all military personnel and considers it an honor to help them whenever he can because of the sacrifice they made for us and our country.
Joe’s involvement with Tee It Up for the Troops started at its inception. He was in a couple’s bible study with JB Ball, TIUFTT founder, and was asked to pray about the idea of Tee It Up for the Troops. Being someone who has a high regard for our military, Joe wanted to be involved in as many ways as possible.
Joe attended Winona State University and graduated with a B.S. in Mass Communications in 1983.
He was the past president and served on the Board of Directors for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, Minnesota. Joe is also on the Board of Directors and has been the president of the Burnsville Rotary Club since 1995. He also served on the Board of Directors for Doulos from 2006 to 2010.
Joe met his wife of 35 years while attending Winona State University. They have two children, Alexandra and Max, along with three furry kids Jeter, Bernie and Violet (Cairn Terriers). Joe was born and raised in New York and happens to be a big Yankees fan along with a Green Bay Packers football fan because of his wife being raised in Wisconsin. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books, playing golf and traveling.
