Looking for a fun and enjoyable way to raise funds for disabled veterans and their families?
Then participate in the 4th Annual Longest Day of Golf for Troops!
Tee It Up for the Troops is looking for golfers to participate in the 4th annual Longest Day of Golf for the Troops event over the weekend before the Summer Solstice, June 16-18, 2017. This weekend is the beginning of summer and the longest day(s) of the year.
You may recall “The Longest Day” was a famous book and movie (starring John Wayne) honoring those who fought for our freedom on D-Day. The Longest Day of Golf for the Troops is a unique opportunity for golfers to honor all who have served and continue to fight for our freedom.
To participate, golfers choose 1 day over the summer solstice weekend (June 16-18, 2017) and “tee it up” from the crack of dawn until sundown! We are asking participants to seek donations from friends, family and co-workers to help us reach our fundraising goal of $25,000 to support our REUNION Outreach Program! This unique opportunity allows golfers to participate as an individual, twosome, foursome, etc.
Golfers simply contact their favorite golf course to host, collect donations/pledges, play their Longest Day of Golf, and share in the sense of pride, honor, respect and appreciation for all those who have served and given so greatly!
Each participant collecting $500 or more in donations will receive a Tee It Up for the Troops long sleeve pullover.
Participants can collect donations in two different ways:
1. Create an online account and join our fundraising team – We’ve created an easy way for you to ask your friends, family and co-workers to sponsor you online.
To help you create your account and collect pledges on-line, we put together this simple video to show you how easy it is.
2.Download this form which you can use to sign up friends, family and co-workers to sponsor you and make pledges.

The inaugural Longest Day of Golf for the Troops event was held at the Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minnesota on June 20, 2014 where 18 golfers raised just over $23,000! Some foursomes, choosing to play a scramble format at the inaugural event, finished 90+ holes!
Bunker Hills will once again host a similar event on Friday, June 16, 2017. Those interested in being a part of the event at Bunker Hills should contact Pat Reis at email@example.com or go to the Bunker Hills Longest Day of Golf Event Page for more information.
